Job Description
The role is responsible for setting the strategy and execution plan for a large segment of the Cigna Pharmacy Product portfolio. This role will be responsible for leading and overseeing the value-based solutions product portfolio and emerging pharmacy go-to-market strategies. This role also leads the benefit design strategies and products, including pharmacy and medical specialty management, and all custom client requests for prioritization and operational support. Products in this portfolio include value-based solutions across pharmacy and medical, specialty solutions, biosimilar strategies, Advanced Cellular Therapy, Network management and other emerging health responses, provider and customer incentives. Other responsibilities include custom client requests and product compliance for pharmacy solutions.
While the product strategy and direction is a critical aspect of the role, product execution will also be a component of success. This role will partner with our product operations team to move products through business case development, prioritization, portfolio funding, business readiness, and technology execution. This role will also have strong engagement with the go-to-market team for product feedback and alignment on sales execution.
This leader is also responsible for maintaining a pulse on the external market dynamics including customer and competitor insights and technology trends to ensure the team’s strategic framework continues to be market leading in a dynamic healthcare landscape.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ **Product Operation Excellence:** Lead and oversee product innovation through all the systematic needs to ensure a smooth client and patient experience, highlighting the benefits of integrated healthcare management.
+ **Product Launch:** Lead launch efforts by identifying market needs, developing business plans, providing SME support and overseeing go-to-market planning and training.
+ **Cross Functional Collaborative Leadership:** Drive cross functional collaboration between various internal/external stakeholders (e.g. eviCore, Evernorth, Express Scripts). Interact with and influence internal stakeholders at all levels of the company. Partner with senior-level leaders across functions and channels to shape strategy, develop short and long-term visions and roadmaps, and work with business leaders to manage transition from strategy to execution.
+ **Execution:** Overall responsibility for the design and investment to ensure on-time delivery of new products and enhancements. Oversee product refinements including architecture, requirements, and documentation.
+ **Market & Competitive Analysis:** Lead and oversee complex market analysis to identify customer needs and trends, competitive positioning and emerging healthcare trends.
+ **Product Enhancements:** Solicit customer and market feedback, prepare business case assessment and prioritize future product capabilities/features.
+ **Product Value Contribution:** Partner with cross-functional partners that impact product value creation including product adoption and use (go-to-market needs, sales targets, marketing plan, sales training).
+ **Product Performance:** Monitor and communicate product performance by championing product quality, establishing and communicating product KPI dashboard and resolving critical product performance issues.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred. Master’s degree or PharmD/RPh desired.
+ Minimum of 10+ years of experience working in healthcare, with a proven background successfully leading teams in product or business development.
+ Demonstrated understanding of the PBM / Health Plan supply chain and value creation
+ Experience in product design - understanding clinical protocols, products and health plans.
+ Strong presentation and communication skills with ability to interact with executives, senior managers, technical experts and customers.
+ Effective people leader that has experience coaching, mentoring and developing top talent.
+ Strong financial acumen, with ability to evaluate solutions and understand impacts to other areas quickly and effectively.
+ Experience with cross-functional initiatives, with a high degree of complexity.
+ Ability to present and develop presentations.
+ Demonstrates ability to lead, influence and problem-solve across various Cigna and Evernorth businesses.
+ Strong modeling capability and financial management skills.
+ Strong project management skills.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strategic acumen to drive organization success in a changing landscape.
+ Able to manage multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 178,100 - 296,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
