DUTIES:
+ Develop and execute Marriott’s next generation network automation platform across all Marriott networks, including Property Networks, Corporate Networks, and Cloud/Datacenter Networks.
+ Partners closely with the Network Monitoring and Instrumentation team to develop automation solutions to be triggered by deep network analytics to detect and automatically mitigate.
+ issues before they become outages, driving further into a self-healing infrastructure.
+ Lead a team of high-performing network automation engineers to develop our next-generation network automation solutions.
+ Own the network automation roadmap, participating in cross-functional technology teams to steer our automation vision, and drive toward improved automation in our network governance and standards.
+ Work closely and collaboratively with expert network architects and engineers across the larger Global Networks organization.
+ Be accountable for driving the delivery and adoption of network automation practices and operating models across all Global Networks teams.
+ Establish technical level relationships with other key disciplines within Marriott and partner to define and implement network automation solutions.
+ Manage the performance of the team members and provide mentorship for their growth and performance.
+ Driving measurable business value through the development and implementation of network automation solutions.
+ As a leader strategize, develop goals, and implement plans for successful implementation of network automation projects.
+ Design, implement and operationalize network automation infrastructure and tools.
+ Act as a network development leader to guide and mentor network developers in developing innovative solutions and write python, Terraform and Ansible code on daily basis.
+ Act as design and implementation partner to the architecture team in architecting, designing, and implementing the network solutions.
+ Act as leader in delivering our network automation products in time by participating and scrum methodologies.
+ Conducts research and suggest design and implementation of Network infrastructure Automation solutions and implement standard practices across enterprise network operations.
+ Materialize Network automation solutions to enhance the operations and cost structures of the Marriott environment.
+ Accountable for project documentation with a focus on communicating technical features, functions of solutions and operational use.
+ Works closely with department leadership and service providers to support alignment of plans with solution delivery Participates in and suggests improvements to standards.
+ configuration, change management processes and practices.
+ Lead the development of test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects and tasks.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical field followed by 10 years of progressively responsible experience designing and implementing complex and integrated solutions with multitudes of technologies. Experience must include:
+ 5 years of experience in Leading and managing technical teams.
+ 5 years of experience with writing Python applications to support network automation.
+ 4 years of experience with automating network functions and related services through tools such as Ansible, Ansible Tower and/or Itential.
+ 4 years of experience with automating Multi cloud components using Terraform, Ansible and CICD Pipeline.
+ 4 years of experience using Kubernetes and deploying micro services.
+ 4 years of experience in building Network test and deployment automation pipelines using Git and CICD tools such as Gitaction, harness and Jenkins.
+ 4 years of experience in implementing security hardening of the platforms.
+ 3 years of experience in migration projects like on prem to cloud.
