    Eaton’s EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Machine Operator.

     

    The hourly rate for this position is range of 15.54 - 20.86 - 23.17 per hour. The hours for this shift is 10:00 pm-6:30 am.

     

    Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

    What you’ll do:

    Position Overview:

    This position requires the ability to provide service to both mold and core area equipment and components with routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and documentation of jobs.

    In this function you will:

    • Use compressed air and sand blasting equipment to perform cleaning and service duties of several CNCs, tapping and drilling machines in the machine department.

    • Use broom, shovel, and compressed air to perform cleaning and service duties on machines and their components

    • Move, stack and deliver materials manually and with a forklift/front-end loader,

    • Operate automatic sweeper

    • Follow cleaning schedules for all equipment

    • Troubleshoot the operation of the equipment as it pertains to the machine department, as needed.

    • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner, and apply 5-S program

    • Understand and perform designed TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) functions as required

    • Perform and maintain various recordkeeping duties and clerical operations such as documentation of job, as required

    • Perform other duties as assigned throughout the facility.

    Qualifications:

    Required (Basic) Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

    • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

    • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Amarillo Texas will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Prior experience working a team environment

    • Prior experience working in manufacturing

    Position Criteria:

    • Ability to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hours and to lift/carry up to 50 pounds

    • Follow all safety regulations associated and wear all PPE (personal protective equipment) as required including half face respirators and PAPR (powered air purifying respirator)

    • Work in various locations, including confined spaces, and at varied heights using fall protection, permits, and other safety processes and procedures as required including but not limited to lockout/tagout

    • Forklift and frontend loader certified (powered industrial truck trained)

    • Ability to work with limited supervision

    • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow moderately technical standards, work instructions, schedules, and maintenance procedures

    • Ability to work around molten metal and in a production environment that is hot and subject to unexpected swings of overtime (ability to flex personal schedule to cover tasks on other shifts)

    • Ability to work proactively and communicate effectively while working with all employees throughout plant

    • Ability to perform basic computer functions: eSafety, MESH Prism
