Eaton is seeking a **Power Systems OEM Sales Director** to lead our Power Systems sales organization focused on OEM’s who serve the utility segment as their primary focus. The role may be remote from within the continental United States; however, it is preferred to be in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Relocation assistance is available to Waukesha only.
As the Power Systems OEM Sales Director, you will report to the VP of Sales and lead a team focused on achieving sales, profit, and growth targets. Your main responsibilities include managing sales resources strategically to meet goals for sales, market share, pricing, product mix, and financial performance set by product divisions and sales leadership. You will also design and oversee sales initiatives and programs that impact key stakeholders—such as customers, distributors, partners, employees, and business media. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and key decision makers is essential in this role.
In this role you will:
• Acts a sales and marketing agent in conjunction with sales and operations management to ensure top line sales objectives are met. Responsible for providing strategy to identify and develop prospective new customers, keeping on trends and significant issues providing direction for the strategic planning process, ensure the region maintains effective relationships with and service to customers.
• Reviews monthly forecasts with accuracy to ensure the region meets these numbers monthly. Oversee efficient execution / ability to execute sales quotes, cost control, leveraging subcontractors, managing receivables (works with credit department, resolves terms & condition issues with the contracts department, work with collections), and turn of backlog and projects.
• Ensures an effective and skilled staff through recruiting, assessment of talent (find gaps and follow action plans to fill gaps), training & development, goal setting, communications, performance appraisal, and conformance to applicable company policies and standards. Provides leadership and direction to ensure professional growth for employees and retention within the region.
• Maintains budgetary responsibility for the territory. Manage sales teams throughout assigned region to ensure the effective allocation of company resources and assets.
• Advises senior management of customer and competitive developments that impact sales growth and profitability and recommends strategies and decision options to counteract market pressures.
• Collaborates with product divisions to execute strategies tailored to geographic regions, customer profiles, industry requirements, and market demands.
Your Qualifications:
• Minimum 8-12 years of progressive sales and/or marketing experience with an emphasis on electrical industry required
• Experience in an indirect sales model with manufacture reps and distribution
• Proven track record of achieving commercial sales goals, resulting in business outcomes exceeding $50M in sales
• Must possess and maintain a valid/unrestricted driver's license and passport
• Ability to travel within US & Canada up to 50% of the time
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred qualifications:
• In-depth knowledge of the utility industry especially in the transmission and distribution segment including electrical products, applications, and technology trends
• Direct leadership experience managing a sales team
• Prior P&L experience and/or ownership
• Bachelor's degree required with a preference for technical degrees
• MBA

The expected annual salary range for this role is $141346.17 - $207307.72 a year.
