    About the Role

    Under the supervision of the Staff Accounting Supervisor, the selected candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

    Responsibilities

    + Daily monitoring of interagency settlement wire approval tracking sheet. Communicate any discrepancies in a timely manner.

    + Add, update, and track all wires in the wire tracking sheet to provide proper oversight of outgoing and incoming wires. Including validation to SAP.

    + Monitor preliminary reports for interagency settlement and review final reports to determine if an adjustment is necessary.

    + Update the parking tracking sheet after month-end closing to verify the amounts entered in SAP are correct.

    + Work with Cash Receipt desk to identify and code incoming cash receipts

    Additional Information

    + **This position is represented by the Communications Workers of America (CWA) Union** **.**

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Must have completed a minimum of nine (9) college credits in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field from an accredited college or university.

    + In lieu of credits, minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience can be accepted.

    Desired Qualifications

    + Good oral communication, written and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to interact effectively with internal staff and external professionals at all levels.

    + General knowledge of Port Authority accounting and financial structure.

    + Demonstrated PC and data entry skills

    + Working knowledge of Excel and comparable software database applications

    + Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
