What will you do?
A day in the life of a Wholesale Planning Manager at Vans looks a little like this.
The Wholesale Planning Manager works alongside the Wholesale Sales Team and Wholesale Merchandising team to quantify the sell-in strategy, the execution of the sell-in, in-season management tactics and post-season analysis to deliver a sales and inventory experience that meets the needs of both the Vans Customer as well as our Wholesale partners in the Americas.

+ **_Wholesale Assortment Revenue Strategy_** _– Leads strategic forecasting from LRP to in-season to post-season, ensuring optimal assortment positioning across Americas Wholesale Accounts._
+ **_Analyzing sales_** _to flag sales and inventory risks and opportunities to meet the needs of the Vans consumers as well as maximizing sell-out revenue for our Wholesale partners,_
+ **_Sales Performance and Demand Planning_** _– analyze sell-out sales data, market trends and consumer insights to re-forecast demand, drive wholesale partner profitability and optimize the wholesale option width and breadth._
+ **_Cross-Functional and Regional Collaboration_** _– align with DTC/E-com. Marketing, merchandising, sales and partner accounts to ensure our partner assortments support the account strategy, brand strategy, market needs and seasonal plan._
+ **_Post_** **-Season Meltdown** analyzing sales and inventory performance to support lessons learned, account meetings and influence the future assortment and financial strategy to support long-term, sustainable mutual growth for both Vans and our wholesale partners.
+ **_Leadership, Mentorship, Coaching and Support_** _of a team of Wholesale Planners._
What do you need to succeed?
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 6+ years of experience in either merchandise, DTC, wholesale or demand planning and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
+ **_High degree of emotional intelligence & communication skills_** _(needed in order to foster a collaborative team environment, build strong relationships, and resolve disagreements with candor)_
+ **_Strategic vision_** _(ability to articulate a clear, long-term strategy rooted in business and planning acumen, historical analysis and understanding of the marketplace and brand vision)_
+ **_Cross-functional Communication_** at all levels including senior leadership.
+ **_Strong Analytical skills_** _with expertise in demand forecasting, inventory management, and financial modeling in both excel and merchandise financial planning tools._
+ **_Consumer insight and empathy_** _(deep understanding of consumer needs, trends, and local cultural nuances and how they translate into a planning quantification._
+ **_Understanding the tactics to drive revenue and profitability growth_** _in a global, multi-channel retail environment including but not limited to wholesale partners._
+ **_Experience working with diverse markets_** _with a strong understanding of regional differences in retail and consumer behavior._
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
+ _Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related fields; MBA or advanced degree preferred._
+ _Experience with merchandise planning tools and technologies (eg: ERP, BI, or AI-driven analytics platforms)_
+ _Strong background in digital commerce and omnichannel planning strategies._

Hiring Range** **:
$99,360.00 USD - $124,200.00 USD annually
**Incentive Potential** : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
