About the Role:
Join a dynamic team supporting a comprehensive campus cycling program! As a Bike Mechanic, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a large fleet of bicycles, providing top-tier service to employees, and contributing to mobility-related initiatives across campus.
W** **hat You'll Do:
+ Perform daily checks, maintenance, and repairs on campus bikes
+ Provide fast, professional service for employee-owned bicycles
+ Support loaner bike and bike sales programs, community events, and marketing efforts
Campus Fleet Maintenance
+ Conduct daily inspections and repairs to ensure safety and performance
+ Assemble new fleet bikes to support program growth
+ Use GPS-based software to monitor fleet usage and location
+ Retrieve and rebalance bikes across campus as needed
Employee Bike Services
+ Repair and maintain employee-owned bikes with excellent customer service
+ Educate employees on bike care, commuting tips, and safety practices
Online Marketplace & Loaner Bikes
+ Assemble new bikes for customers to meet safety and quality standards
+ Maintain a fleet of loaner bikes for employee use
Workshop & Program Support
+ Keep the workshop organized and stocked with tools and supplies
+ Maintain electric cargo bike and trailer
+ Assist with events, promotions, and other bike-related programs
W** **hat You'll Need:
+ 1–3 years of professional bicycle maintenance experience preferred
+ Familiarity with modern bike tools, components, and repair techniques
+ Experience with Microsoft Suite and GPS/fleet management software a plus
+ Strong organizational and multitasking skills
+ Excellent communication and customer service abilities
+ Valid driver’s license and ability to ride a bike
+ Comfortable working in a shop environment

The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience.
