As Development Officer, you will work on various activities and programs that support the fundraising priorities of Cleveland Clinic. You will play a vital role in securing philanthropic gifts through the process of identifying, qualifying, strategizing, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift prospects. A caregiver in this position works a hybrid schedule, Monday-Friday from 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Identifies prospects using various database, volunteers and internal colleagues.
+ Strategically move prospects through the development cycle from qualification to cultivation to solicitation to closing to stewardship.
+ Meets monthly and yearly metrics with respect to prospect and donor visits, solicitations, and dollars raised.
+ Coordinates donor interests with the priorities of the organization and develops funding proposals to match interests with needs.
+ Collaborates with internal colleagues dedicated to different medical areas.
+ Build relationships with prospects and donors, typically initiated through cold calls.
+ Coordinate independent trips to meet with prospects and donors.
+ Responsible for meeting monthly activity metrics and annual financial goals.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Bachelor's Degree required
+ Minimum of three years directly related work experience in major gift fundraising.
+ An Advanced Degree and/or three years of experience in sales, marketing or related field may offset years of experience.
+ Ability to establish and maintain friendly and cooperative relations with corporate executives, donors and staff physicians.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Minimum three years of fundraising or face-to-face solicitation experience with major gifts preferred.
+ Willingness to conduct in-person and virtual donor meetings in Northeast Ohio, Florida and nationally per assigned region.
+ Working knowledge of fundraising techniques and strategies preferred.

Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
+ Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
+ Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
+ Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
Personal Protective Equipment:
+ Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment.
Pay Range
Minimum Annual Salary: $57,510.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $87,697.50
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
