Senior Technical Consultant – Rail and Transit
Opportunity :
Parsons is now hiring for a highly experienced Senior Technical Consultant to provide guidance and expertise to supporting various rail and transit programs in the USA, inclusive of the Austin Rail Project in Texas.
Provides technical expertise serving as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) to work teams supporting business objectives by meeting customer and technical requirements. Works to solve a variety of business problems with up-to-date advanced solutions.
This role can be virtually based anywhere in the USA, with a preference to be based in the Texas region.
Specific Responsibilities
+ Provide technical advice and contribute to a team of Systems Specialists in the design, delivery and construction support of Rail Transit systems works.
+ Coordinate with other technical disciplines across the organization to ensure integrated and comprehensive engineering solutions.
+ A key responsibility will be to assist in business development activities, including proposal preparation, project methodology development, work programs, schedules, and budgets.
+ Prepare technical reports and documentation for clients and project management, ensuring technical excellence and quality assurance of project tasks and deliverables.
+ Stay informed of trends, developments, and advancements in the transportation design field to maintain technical competency and provide state-of-the-art services and advice to clients.
+ Nurture and grow client and industry partner relationships to support business growth.
+ Perform other responsibilities as appropriate for the position.

- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

- Working knowledge of and ability to apply best industry practices and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines
- Ability to understand complex and in-depth technical situations and related business challenges
Education and Typical Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Typical Experience:
- 12 years or more experience as a technical consultant with program management in the rail and transit industry

Salary Range: $128,700.00 - $231,700.00
