The Position Description
The President Software Digital Solutions will provide overall strategic and operational business leadership to deliver breakthrough market growth, innovation cadence, financial and organizational objectives. The President will lead and inspire the global GeneData and IDBS organization s to develop and deploy strategies that accelerate innovation, increase market share, deliver commercial sales, service and marketing execution while building organizational and leadership capability with high engagement. The President will be tasked with continuously improving financial and operational performance and drive Danaher culture daily using the Danaher Business System (DBS), with a focus on process improvement, sustainability, inclusion and belonging .
This is a highly visible role within Danaher with a clear career path to roles of increasing responsibility.
• Work collaboratively with your leadership team to design and execute strategies that create sustainable competitive advantage and solve valuable problems for your customers. Anticipate, appreciate, and respond to pharmaceutical , biopharma and Biotech drug discovery and development customer needs.
• Global P&L responsibility for a ~$20 0M combined business with a proven track record for high growth. Responsibility includes the design, manufacture, and distribution of multiple products and services globally in multiple end- market segments. Must have strategic insights to competitively differentiate and drive share gain.
• Lead growth of the company through planning and executing aggressive organic and inorganic strategies. Be intimate with customer needs. Identify new business opportunities to expand GeneData and IDBS business across new products, services, and Go- To-Market approaches.
• Design and execute strategy from determining what differentiates company products and services in the market to mapping the organization to that strategy, with a particular emphasis on how that strategy creates sustainable competitive advantage and solve valuable problems for customers.
• Be accountable for product quality and drive compliance to and improvements in the Quality Management System.
• Meet core set of KPIs including core growth, operating margin expansion, working capital turns (WC), on- time delivery (OTD), quality, customer satisfaction, and associate care and safety.
• Learn and leverage the Danaher Business System (DBS) tools to build sustainable operational, commercial, innovation and strategic culture.
• Be accountable for advancing the GeneData and IDBS journey s to strengthen high engagement as well a s a culture of inclusion and belonging.
• Have and/or develop domain expertise in life science analytical software tools in pharmaceutical, biopharma, biotech or adjacent applied markets.
• Build a psychologically safe environment, have the courage to uncover facts and speak transparently.
Key Requirements
Reporting to the Danaher Group Executive for the Life Sciences Innovations Group, the President will be responsible for the following:
• Day- to- day management and leadership of the GeneData and IDBS Operating Compan ies with Opco leadership.
• Primary participant in the company’s strategic planning process; create and own strategy for th ese business es .
• Primary driver of goals in alignment with strategy and execution of those goals.
• Manage and deliver a full P&L – revenue, GM, operating profit, net income (Sales, Mktg, Services, Finance, HR & support functions)
• Deliver core growth acceleration materially above the market; drive optimal and advanced solutions to ensure GeneData and IDBS m aintains a leadership position; partner across Danaher Life Sciences operating companies to leverage cross- opco innovation tools.
• Lead, build, develop, retain a team of top talent throughout the organization.
• Authentic leadership style to drive the culture with a continued focus on team building, engagement, inclusion and belonging
• Thoughtful DBS Leadership to strengthen the culture and implement the necessary structure to continue the growth and innovation journey
• M&A and Open Innovation (OI) experience: Ability to execute inorganic strategy including cultivation, diligence and transitions.
• Travel 50%
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished strategic and operating executive with an outstanding record of accomplishment in building, leading and growing life sciences software businesses. This executive will have proven her/his ability to execut e flawlessly while also possessing the ability to motivate others around her/him to do the same. While the successful candidate’s background may come from a variety of industries, specific experience within the life sciences analytical tools and/or diagnostic industries would be preferred. This individual must possess proven operating/multi-P&L experience in a variety of business models with a bias for growth, including demonstrated success in driving innovation-based growth for at least a $ 2 00M software business. Global experience would be of significant benefit with specific experience in North America, Europe, China, Japan, I ndia and SEA.
More specifically, it is anticipated that the ideal candidate will possess:
• Executive Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead a +$ 200M global business with customers and employees in diverse countries. Ability to develop, deploy and manage a global, high performance, senior leadership team, utilizing appropriate management tools to direct and evaluate performance. This includes the creation and deployment of a strategic plan and related business plans, with performance controls to increase sales and margins. Accepts accountability for results and pro actively initiates corrective action when required.
• Communications Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external groups (including customers, senior business leaders, employees at all levels, financial analysts and news media). Responds to probing questions and effectively delivers a message. Able to create a vision/plan and present in a compelling manner to enlist support. Understands the importance of communication strategies required to support corporate initiatives and ensures effective communications plans are implemented. Creates an environment to encourage open, two- way communication to ensure that diverse ideas, issues and concerns are heard and understood by senior leaders.
• Leadership Development: Identifies, selects, develops and deploys leaders in key positions across the company to provide continuity of leadership to meet current and future needs. This includes the implementation of a robust leadership development program with measurable results.
• Financial Acumen: Ability to manage all aspects of P&L including top- line and bottom- line growth, in a global economy. Deep understanding of financial management metrics. Easily moves between local currency and constant dollars to understand the impact on the bottom line, of operational decisions in countries around the world. Has a sophisticated understanding of pricing, and other critical levers to drive profitability.
• Technical Competence: Ability to develop a fundamental understanding of GeneData and IDBS products and customer requirements to identify market opportunities and represent the customer perspective within the organization.
• Business Development: Ability to identify opportunities for growth in existing and adjacent markets. Requires intimate understanding of customer base and marketing strategies that influence buying behavior and the ability to translate this understanding into actionable business plans. Ability to provide leadership to marketing and to energize the sales organizations to deliver on financial commitments.
• Transition Leadership: Experienced change agent with broad functional expertise. Ability to manage aggressive timeline while retaining mindshare, followership, and engagement.

Education :
• Technical Undergraduate Degree in Engineering/Science
• MBA – Marketing or related work experience
• 10+ years’ experience in senior leadership role in a software SaaS and/or on-prem product- based science and technology company .

Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $398,750 to $443,050. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
