    The Senior Secretaryperforms a range of secretarial duties to ensure efficient and effective office operations. This role supports various staff and functional areas throughout the department as needed.

    What you'll do:

    Administrative Support:

    + Answer phone calls, take messages, and make appropriate referrals.

    + Greet visitors and serve as the department's receptionist to maintain smooth operations.

    Communication:

    + Type and format correspondence, announcements, and reports.

    + Assist in compiling data for operational reports.

    Ad Hoc Projects & Event Planning:

    + Assist with various projects, summarizing and compiling findings in reports, spreadsheets, graphs, or other formats.

    + Support other staff with on-site event planning activities.

    Record Keeping:

    + Create and maintain an accurate filing system and records of departmental activities and projects.

    Budget, Inventories & Equipment:

    + Assist with the preparation of check requisitions, purchase requisitions, and expense reports.

    + Utilize Lawson to process purchase requisitions.

    + Order office supplies and arrange for the maintenance of office equipment and facilities.

    Clinical Support:

    + Manage patient scheduling with appropriate caregivers/audiologists based on patient input.

    + Handle cash transactions and provide basic maintenance instructions for purchased items.

    Work Nature:

    + Duties involve several related sequential steps, processes, or methods.

    + Work impacts specific areas significantly and has a substantial effect on student or patient well-being, comfort, or convenience.

    Position Requirements:

    Minimum Education:

    Required: High School Diploma

     

    Preferred: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education

    Minimum Experience:

    Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

    Compensation:

    Pay Range: $16.70 - $25.53 per hour

     

    _Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles._
