Job Description:
The Opportunity
MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Reimbursement team. In this role, you’ll develop and implement the planning, coordination, reporting, and administration of payor reimbursement and contracting, as well as governmental payor cost reporting.
You’ll provide analytical insight and financial expertise that directly support the organization’s financial performance and compliance.
What You’ll Do
+ Track net reimbursement rates by major payor category for preparation of monthly financial statements.
+ Prepare and file cost reports; coordinate and manage audits related to reimbursement activities.
+ Provide advanced-level consulting on strategies designed to optimize net revenue and ensure compliance with reimbursement regulations.
+ Support the financial and reporting operations of the Kennebec Region Health Alliance (the organization’s affiliated PHO).
+ Collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic financial planning and performance improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field strongly preferred.
+ Minimum of 2+ years of healthcare accounting experience.
+ Demonstrated understanding of payor reimbursement, cost reporting, and revenue optimization.
+ Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills required.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
