Job Summary and Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

+ Assist in the admission, discharge, and transfer process of patients.

+ Set up tables, instruments, and supplies required for cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, and circumcisions; maintaining sterile technique.

+ Respond to patient calls, anticipate their needs, and assure their safety and comfort through regular rounds, environmental maintenance and other appropriate safety measures.

+ Maintain appropriate stock and equipment inventories in the department and patient rooms.

+ Assist in the preparation and draping of patient and operative area. Prepare, pass, and maintain a correct count of instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies utilized during the operative procedure.

+ Maintain surgical instruments by ensuring proper washing, packaging, sterilization, and storage.

Job Requirements

+ BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association required upon hire

+ CNA or Surgical Technologist certification, required

+ Experience in a surgical or acute care setting, preferred

Pay Range

$21.85 - $30.87 /hour
