This position is within the MUSO Derivative Operations function as a member of the OTC Portfolio Management and Confirmations (PMC)team. The PMC team is responsible for issuance and review of all OTC derivative confirmations which include Equity, Rates, FX and Credit asset class activities.
Responsibilities and Knowledge Requirements:
+ Lead the Vanilla Confirmations team, overseeing the daily trade validation and confirmation workflow including tracking progress and swiftly addressing any identified exceptions; issuance of vanilla rates and FX paper confirmations and monitoring of all electronic fx matching activities including CLS.
+ Possess a strong working knowledge of the industry utilities used for post-trade matching, confirmation, and allocation across derivative asset classes.
+ As an operations manager provide guidance and support to junior staff in preparing, monitoring, and reviewing confirmations, and professional development.
+ Oversee the review and verification of inbound documentation for all derivative products to ensure accuracy and completeness.
+ Serve as a key point of contact for the Derivatives Confirmation team, liaising with clients and internal stakeholders across the firm including Front Office, Legal, Audit and Finance.
+ As part of the PMC team participate to ensure all daily and periodic processes relevant to PMC are completed in a timely manner.
Experience and Skills required:
+ BA/BS in Finance or Accounting.
+ 5+ years of relevant experience within financial services including management exposure.
+ Strong knowledge of the ISDA Definitions as required for transactional deal confirmation.
+ Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks.
+ Demonstrated leadership and talent development skills.
+ Ability to effectively communicate to senior stakeholders at the firm, both written and verbal.
+ Organizational skill with ability to support numerous competing tasks.
The expected base salary ranges from $100,000 - $150,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
