    Material Specialist (Stores)** **– Colorado Springs, CO

     

    Material Specialist (Stores) -1st Shift

     

    Responsible for the disassembly, re-stocking of all returned cylinders, the accurate counting and identification of parts, preparation of the daily scrap/re-work log and related Oracle transaction.

     

    Locate, count (hand count and scale count), containerize, label, transact, and deliver components to other areas within the facility. Respond to pick lists, manual requests (written and verbal), kanban cards, or other means of material requests. Organize, consolidate, audit count, re-containerize, re-label, package for shipment, and perform PO receipts. Identify and report discrepancies, some root cause investigating.

    What You Will Do:

    Job Responsibilities

    + Ability to perform Oracle transaction daily.

    + Knowledge of finishing, process desirable, but not required.

    + Ability to read and follow both written and verbal instructions in English.

    + Ability to lift 40-pound tote pans from floor to waist height frequently throughout shift

    + Ability to operate a pallet jack.

    + Ability to return usable components to proper re-stocking location and perform necessary transactions in both Security and Primus organization.

    + Demonstrate an ability to determine finish quality utilizing VICG standards.

    + Demonstrate good eye-hand coordination.

    + Demonstrates personal initiative and the willingness to work as part of a team.

    + Demonstrate good judgement when determining appropriate scrap codes and reason codes for documentation.

    + Knowledge of cylinder assemblies, sub-assemblies and components.

    + Ability to perform material transactions in numerous operating systems if assigned.

    + Ability to operate a wireless transaction scanning gun.

    + Ability to read and follow both written and verbal instructions in English.

    + Ability to lift 35-pound tote pans from floor to waist height frequently throughout shift

    + Ability to operate a pallet jack.

    + Ability to obtain a forklift and straddler license.

    + Demonstrates personal initiative and the willingness to work as part of a team.

    + Demonstrate good judgment when determining priorities, utilization of storeroom space, stocking levels, and potential problems with work documents or transactions.

    + High attention to detail (ie: accuracy of counts and transactions)

    + Ability to cross-train within department and flex to other assignments.

    + Good interpersonal skills to work with customers and coworkers

    + Ability to contribute to efforts to improve safety and work processes.

    What You Need to Succeed:

    + Demonstrate basic Math and quantitative skills.

    + Demonstrate some degree of computer exposure - preferably with the Oracle system.

    + Ability to operate a personal computer.

    + Ability to identify parts and finishes.

    + Ability to work overtime as required.

    + Ability to write legible numbers.

    + Ability to operate key-cutting equipment, face platter and dis-assembly of equipment

    + Demonstrate basic Math skills and ability to work calculator.

    + Demonstrate some degree of computer exposure.

    + Familiar with using e-mail.

    + Ability to work overtime as required.

    Education Requirement:

    + High school diploma

    Compensation:

    This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

     

    + The expected hourly range of $16.97- $30.04. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
