The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a **Senior** **Project Engineer** to join the Interiors and Payloads Design Engineering team located in **Tukwila, Washington** .

A successful member of this team will understand and execute new product development processes and modifications and upgrades for the USAF E-7 and P-8 programs respectively.

+ Provides the Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers

+ Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements

+ Works with customers and management to obtain approval

+ Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules

+ Leads project execution to complete the work statement

+ Identifies performance metrics. Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program

+ Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity

+ Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned

+ Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans.

+ Works under minimal direction

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

+ Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

+ 9+ years of related work experience

+ 3+ years experience in EVM and Silver Medallion Certification

+ 5+ years’ experience multi-discipline project management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

+ Experience working across a team representing multiple skill areas with internal and external resources and customers is preferred

+ Experience with complex systems development and integration preferred

+ Experience with leading project execution to complete the work statement is preferred

+ Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. Earned value management, DOORs, CAMEO)

+ Experience with Model Based Engineering

+ Experience with Agile/JIRA

+ Troubleshooting engineering skills

+ Experience as a CAM or CAM delegate

**Summary Pay Range** :

$126,650 - $171,350
