    **Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS)** is hiring for a **Deputy IPT Leader** — **Program Manager** . This role will provide program-level technical and execution leadership for the **Mission Systems IPT** supporting the **UK E7** program. This role is accountable for oversight and coordination of Mission Systems Hardware, Mission Systems Software, Mission Sensors, MS Integration & Test (I&T), Aircraft Integration & Test, and Hardware-Software Integration (HSI). The successful candidate will partner with the IPT Leader to ensure delivery of mission-capable systems that meet schedule, cost, performance and regulatory requirements. Position is primarily office- and lab-based in **Oklahoma City, OK** ; required presence for critical integration and flight test events.

     

    Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

    Position Responsibilities:

    + Serve as Deputy IPT Leader for the Mission Systems IPT; act as IPT Leader when delegated.

    + Provide program management oversight and technical leadership across:

    + Mission Systems Hardware (line-replaceable units, component qualification, interface management)

    + Mission Systems Software (build/release management, SW certification readiness)

    + Mission Sensors (Radar, IFF, EWSP Integration and Technical Subcontract Management)

    + Integration & Test (lab, ground, and aircraft integration & test planning and execution)

    + Labs (testbed capability planning, sustainment, and configuration control)

    + Aircraft Integration & Test (Ground & flight test planning and execution, Certification Planning)

    + Hardware-Software Integration (interface control, HSI verification, continuous integration)

    + Develop and maintain program schedules, key milestones, performance metrics, and risk registers; provide regular status to program and customer leadership.

    + Oversee supplier and subcontractor performance, technical deliveries, and integration activities; ensure effective supplier risk management and mitigation.

    + Ensure rigorous configuration management, change control, requirements traceability, and documentation to support verification, validation, and certification needs.

    + Work with Capability Leadership airworthiness authorities to coordinate aircraft integration and certification inputs.

    + Communicate technical status, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadership, customers, and stakeholders; prepare executive briefings and technical reports.

    + Mentor and develop program leads and engineering staff; foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance IPT culture.

    + Deliver mission systems and integration milestones to schedule and within approved budgets while meeting defined performance and safety requirements.

    + Maintain clear, auditable configuration and verification evidence supporting certification and delivery.

    + Proactively reduce technical and program risk through effective supplier management and cross-discipline coordination.

    + Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers, regulators, and internal stakeholders.

     

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

     

    **This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.** An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    + A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical major

    + Experience in System Design, Systems Engineering, Project Engineer, Integrated Product Team Lead, or Test and Evaluation Leadership

    + 1+ year of experience working cross-functionally in a leadership role

    + Experience working with and/or managing contractors, subcontractors or suppliers

    + Excellent verbal and written skills with ability to communicate task progress and challenges within team and with technical leadership, both internal and external

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    + Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) practices and tools.

    + Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices for embedded systems.

    + Strong technical background in mission systems (hardware, software, and sensors) and hardware-software integration.

    + Strong risk management, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.

    + Proven ability to resolve cross-functional technical issues and make tradeoffs under schedule pressure.

    + Prior exposure to UK program/customer interfaces or international program coordination preferred.

    + Experience with certification/regulatory processes relevant to military/defense aviation programs and flight test activities.

    + Active Secret Clearance is preferred

     

    Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

     

    **Travel:** Able to travel domestically and internationally 25% of the time (program sites, suppliers, aircraft integration locations, and customer sites will be required (domestic and international).

    Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

     

    Summary pay range for $118,150 - $159,850
