As a **Security Officer – Armed Government Patrol** in **Austin, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a secure atmosphere in a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting with any security-related needs to support those on site. What You’ll Do:

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism in all interactions.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, checking identification and/or authorization as required by site policies.

+ Document occurrences and report security-related incidents or issues to the appropriate Allied Universal and/or client personnel.

+ Assist in emergency situations by following established protocols and providing guidance to visitors and staff as needed.

+ Maintain a visible presence while on patrol to help to deter disruptive or criminal behavior within the location.

What We’re Looking For:

+ Availability across various days and shifts

+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

+ Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.

+ Have supervisory experience in a security-related, law enforcement, or military role.

+ Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of experience as a security-related supervisor or manager or 3 or more years of security-related experience.

+ Hold a Level III armed certification for Texas roles.

+ Hold a valid CPR certification, preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
