    Our client, Bloom Energy, a leader in innovative manufacturing technology, is seeking an Equipment Upgrade Technician to join their dynamic team. As an Equipment Upgrade Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Equipment Upgrade Technician

    **Location:** Fremont, CA

    Pay Range: $28 to $30 per hour

    **Shift:** Day and Night Shifts

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Perform upgrades on manufacturing equipment, including replacing bases, halo components, and central heaters.

    + Conduct mechanical and electrical work as needed to support equipment functionality.

    + Support the N2 Long Sintering Project by installing pneumatic hardware and plumbing systems.

    + Integrate new flowmeters and solenoids, making flow adjustments to ensure proper system operation.

    + Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures during all installations and upgrades.

     

    What's Needed?

    Role and Responsibilities:

    + Perform upgrades on manufacturing equipment, including:

    + Replacing bases, halo components, and central heaters.

    + Conducting mechanical and electrical work as needed.

    + Support the N2 Long Sintering Project by:

    + Installing pneumatic hardware and plumbing systems.

    + Integrating new flowmeters and solenoids.

    + Making flow adjustments and ensuring proper system functionality.

    + Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures during all installations and upgrades.

    + Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.

    Skills and Experience:

    + 6+ years’ experience in a high capacity manufacturing environment.

    + High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

    + Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, and pneumatic hardware.

    + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

    + Good Attendance, Initiative, responsible follow through and a willingness to help.

    + Strong trouble-shooting skills required.

    + Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator.

    + Able to follow both written and verbal instructions.

    + Must have computer skills, minimum Microsoft office.

    + Demonstrated ability to use small hand and power tools, previous experience with p.c. based testing equipment is preferred.

    + Excellent hand and eye coordination is needed.

    + Complete tasks within standard times with minimum supervision.

    + Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

    + Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    + Must be flexible with changing shift or work schedule.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks

    + Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. at a time

    + Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products as directed

    + Must have excellent hand-eye coordination

    + Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
