Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data solutions sector, is seeking a dedicated and skilled QA Engineer / SDET - Databricks & Reporting Tool Automation to join their dynamic team. As a QA Engineer / SDET - Databricks & Reporting Tool Automation, you will be an integral part of the Data & Analytics Department supporting Digital Platform Services and OmniChannel Payments teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for ensuring data quality and system reliability, which will align successfully within the organization.

**Location:** Cincinnati, OH (On-site)
What's the Job?
+ Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for complex data pipelines on Databricks, Azure Data Explorer, and cloud data lakes.
+ Create automated tests and quality gates to validate data ingestion, transformation, and output processes, ensuring high standards of data integrity.
+ Integrate test automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and validation workflows.
+ Collaborate with data engineers, platform teams, and analytics specialists to verify system correctness, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
+ Design and execute functional validation scenarios for Databricks transformations, including data logs, reporting outputs, and dashboards.
What's Needed?
+ Proven hands-on experience with Databricks test automation, Spark, Python, and Azure cloud tools.
+ Strong background in data validation for data lakes and transformations, with experience in SQL, Kusto (ADX), and data formats like Parquet and Delta.
+ Experience with automation frameworks, functional testing, and CI/CD integration to support continuous improvement.
+ Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining testing strategies and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
+ Prior experience with financial transaction and payment validation is highly preferred.
