Our client, the healthcare and forensic testing industry, is seeking a Lab Tech Jr. to join their team. As a Lab Tech Jr., you will be part of the Extraction department supporting forensic toxicology operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Lab Tech Jr.

**Location:** Gretna, LA

Pay Range: 19/hr

What's the Job?

+ Prepare and extract samples for GC/MS confirmation in the forensic toxicology laboratory

+ Safely operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure proper functionality

+ Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents, controls, and calibrators in compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines

+ Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures

+ Maintain a secure and confidential environment for donor information and adhere to all security procedures

What's Needed?

+ Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related science

+ Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience

+ Proficiency with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus

+ High attention to detail with strong organizational skills

+ Ability to pass a standardized color vision screen and work flexible hours including overtime or shifts as needed
