WIC Nutritionist/Breastfeeding Coordinator
The City of Bangor has a unique opportunity for the right candidate interested in making a difference! The City is hoping to find the perfect candidate for the WIC Nutritionist/Breastfeeding Coordinator position. Under the direction of the WIC Program Manager, the Nutritionist/Breastfeeding Coordinator supervises WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselors (BFPC) and oversees the implementation and management of breastfeeding promotion and support for participants of the Women, Infants, and Children Nutrition Program (WIC). This position establishes WIC eligibility, determines nutritional risk factors, performs nutrition assessments, documents health and social service referrals, provides food packages, and enters data into the WIC data application system. The Nutritionist/BF Coordinator travels throughout Penobscot and Piscataquis Counties to provide WIC services and to implement outreach and participant retention activities. This position is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a comprehensive benefits package. Highlights include:

This position’s full salary range is $26.23 to $35.25 per hour and the position is nonexempt.
