JOB DUTIES:
+ Creation of circuit schematics for new designs, modifying existing schematics, and conducting tolerance analysis to ensure proper operation.
+ Lead product qualification efforts including writing test plans, supervising test activities, troubleshooting failures, reviewing/writing reports, and design FMEA's.
+ Develop and perform tests to detect design issues and verify design robustness.
+ Analyze failed product and determine root cause.
+ Work in cross functional, international development teams.
YOU MUST HAVE:
+ 3+ years' experience with analog circuit design such as inverting, non-inverting, transconductance amplifier configurations.
+ Familiarity with standard topologies of switching power supplies.
+ Understanding requirements for embedded circuit design; signal conditioning, noise mitigations, transient protection, etc.
+ Ability to layout multilayer PCB's to mitigate problems with electrical interferences, high voltage spacing violations, and electrical noise susceptibility.
+ Experience utilizing circuit simulation software like LTSpice, PSpice, etc.
+ Experience with microcontrollers and firmware for embedded systems.
WE VALUE:
+ Experience interfacing with approval agencies such as UL, CSA, TUV, etc.
+ Familiarity with Mentor Graphics schematic capture and layout tools.
+ Experience with HVAC or residential appliances.
+ Understanding of C programming and fundamental programming/debugging techniques.
+ Collaboration with other engineers and professionals in an interactive, team-based setting.
+ Proficiency using MS Office applications; Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word.
