Description
We are seeking a Program Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional projects for Worldwide Grocery Stores Change Enablement (WWGS CE).
This role is responsible for organizing and driving resources to achieve project objectives on time, within scope, and on budget.
Responsibilities include overall project planning, direction, prioritization, change management, delivery, and post-delivery evaluation. Ensures project scope, planning, and implementation align with expectations and business needs. Ensures alignment between multiple projects. The ideal candidate will excel at integrating and managing multiple large-scale projects, owning schedules, identifying and communicating key milestones, and communicating with a diverse stakeholder group. This role requires excellent project management skills, strategic thinking, relationship building, problem solving, and effective communication skills with peers and leadership.
Key job responsibilities
• Directs and manages large-scale, projects from end-to-end.
• Uses business needs and past project experience to create full-scale plans for projects, encompassing:
o Project charter,
o Defined project scope,
o Deliverables,
o Dependencies,
o Schedules,
o Resources allocation,
o Support plans
• Collaborates with project sponsors to communicate expectations to Team Members and stakeholders.
• Builds, develops, and grows business relationships vital to project success.
• Negotiates with Team Leaders and other WFM teams to acquire necessary personnel resources.
• Tracks high-level deliverables across projects.
• Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential issues, and devises contingency plans.
• Ensures achievement of budget goals.
• Ensures regular and ongoing business partner and vendor communication.
• Escalates significant, complex, business critical, or sensitive issues for information and resolution as appropriate.
• Closes projects by gathering feedback, documenting lessons learned, and identifying best practices.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Advanced understanding of project management methodologies.
- Advanced ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor projects.
- Able to oversee or advise on project management issues and assist with overcoming barriers.
- Ability to keep multiple projects on track financially, creatively, and in accordance with stakeholder deadlines.
- Proficient with project management software, such as Smartsheet, SharePoint, Asana, etc.
- Communicates structured information in a clear, concise, and organized fashion.
- Effectively presents information and responds to questions, in both one-on-one situations and group meetings.
- Builds and nurtures relationships with senior-level stakeholders and leaders.
- Presents problem analyses and recommended solutions in a proactive and logical manner.
- Handles a diverse range of issues requiring evaluation of a variety of factors, including business trends.
- Analyzes complex and ambiguous problems.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements to drive efficiency and improve service levels.
- Applies business and project understanding to focus project and team’s efforts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
