    Job Duties

    + Work under the guidance of the Senior Quality Engineer as facilitator for Quality Assurance through design and implementation of the Continuous Improvement. Work with production to initiate necessary corrective and/or preventive action when necessary. Contribute to the gathering, evaluation and disposition of NCP, focusing primarily on information and data gathered by the C360 and/or production employees. Work with production to establish, maintain, and ensure ongoing improvement. Review and respond to statistical trends, reports, summaries, etc. to prevent incidences of NCP, and to continuously improve products and processes. Assist in metrology activities. Assist the Supplier Quality Engineer by conduct failure analysis of rejected goods to determine root cause and source of concerns. Assist with the entry, control and release of Quality Notices in C360. Assist with the creation of STO orders for return goods. Create Tool Room Work Orders for the rework of rejected items. Oversee and assist in the sorting and rework of rejected material. Assist with the preparation and shipment of rejected goods back to suppliers / supplier plants. Work with Materials team to adjust inventory as events occur.

    + Work with the Senior Quality Engineer to establish, implement and maintain QA and verification capabilities. Assist in the identification and development of needed measurement and verification requirements and capabilities. Work with manufacturing/inspection personnel to support measurement method improvements. Assist in the development and release of QA documents such as Control Plans, Product Verification Sheets and QPF documents. Support MCS activities.

    + Assist with implementation of the QMS, documentation control and ongoing training. Monitor product to ensure conformance to specified requirements. Help with the determination of QMS suitability/effectiveness, that employees are following the QMS documentation, product characteristics/conformity and process/equipment capabilities. Participate in audit activities.

    + Assist with establishing, implementing and maintaining of QMS system documentation for verification of product to specified requirements and measuring/verification equipment used to demonstrate product conformance to specified requirements and Process Control Plan / PFMEA development and maintenance. Participate in developing systems to improve verification processes to prevent NCP from occurring. Assist in coordinating verification activities with production schedules to proactively verify product conforms to specified requirements. Establish and maintain QMS system documentation.

    + Lead problem solving activities using Team Oriented (8D / 5 Why) Problem Solving to resolve problems. Assist with training of new employees on the proper use of measuring/verification methods and equipment.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + High school diploma required and 6+ years of related experience.

    + Must have good problem-solving skills, and good verbal and written communication skills. Requires understanding of basic PC computer application skills, including database, spreadsheets, and word-processing.

    + Working knowledge of advanced mathematics, including statistical techniques, SPC, Capability Analysis and Gage R+R. Ability to apply quality tools for continuous improvement (FMEA), Development (Control Plan), Correction (8D/5 why) and know basic inspection and testing concepts, how to read blueprints and GD+T information.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with SAP preferred.

    + A two-year college degree and/or ASQ certification as a Quality Technician preferred and three to five years' experience in quality and/or manufacturing related fields desirable.
