    Visitor Service Coordinator Job Description:

    Temp Assignment 4 - 6 weeks.

     

    Hours of operation are 9am - 5pm Monday - Saturday.

     

    • Perform opening and closing procedures for the Visitor’s Center. Oversee day-to-day admissions and gift shop operations including cash handling and credit card transactions. Generates weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on attendance, admissions, and shop sales.

    • Establish, manage, and maintain a positive visitor experience including greeting visitors, taking admissions, and enforcing and communicating park rules, restrictions, and guidelines.

    • Rebuild the volunteer program and manage the recruitment, clearances, and training of volunteers for the visitor’s center.

    • Ensure seasonal staff and volunteers are trained to understand and follow proper state park procedures and are regularly briefed on current exhibits and educational programming.

    • Answer telephone and direct calls as needed; maintain shared phone and email mailboxes

    • Maintain an orderly, attractive and welcoming Visitor Center, including restocking shelves and ordering supplies.

    • Assist with special programs, some of which may occur on holidays and after regular work hours.

    • Maintain accurate attendance and admission sales records as required by the State of Arizona and Town of Florence.

    Managing the front desk, greeting visitors, answering phones, and handling administrative tasks such as:

    Job Requirements:

    • Passion for history, cultural preservation and education

    • Ability to work with individuals from a wide variety of ethnic, cultural, and economic backgrounds

    • Ability to identify and positively resolve visitor complaints as they arise; strong decision making skills necessary

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • High degree of organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects in various stages of development

    • Demonstrated ability to proactively prioritize and manage time, juggle multiple duties and tasks, and meet

    • deadlines

    • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Suite; Google Workspace; POS system

    • Sufficient schedule flexibility

    **Pay Details:** $20.00 per hour
