This key leader of the organization is responsible for driving the overall operations, management of team members and financial results of the Tate’s Bake Shop retail flagship location in Southampton, NY. You will work closely across Tate’s marketing, manufacturing/operations, R&D and finance teams to leverage Tate’s Bake Shop as a brand flagship experience, while driving retail bake shop sales growth with excellence.
How you will contribute:
+ Own the full Bake Shop product portfolio and in store merchandising from end to end to include:
+ Building and maintaining a bakery product roadmap, leveraging best sellers, seasonal bakery items, Tate’s CPG product, merch/gifting and locally-sourced 3rd party items
+ Lead all product and ingredient sourcing for the Bake Shop, partnering with the Tate’s operations and quality teams
+ Lead product pricing strategy, leveraging in market trends and owning the overall bake shop P&L
+ Lead product/bake shop forecasting process, accounting for key seasonal spikes (e.g. summer, Q4 holidays)
+ Plan and lead daily bakery production schedules with support from assistant managers
+ Oversee the Bake Shop building maintenance, grounds and interiors
+ Work efficiently while ensuring all Department of Health food and safety standards are met
+ Oversee all exterior landscaping including florals, signage, tables, etc.
+ Oversee all interior merchandising, design/décor in partnership with the Tate’s Bake Shop marketing team in line with Tate’s brand guardrails
+ Partner with Tate’s business team to manage any required repairs, building maintenance or upgrades required on an ongoing basis
+ Lead a team of bake shop team members (full time and hourly) including:
+ Supervise team members and maintain a presence front of house, stepping in to support the team as challenges arise or when volume demands.
+ Coach and develop team members, helping to identify opportunities, cross training and support
+ Hiring and developing pastry/cake decorators, back of house as well as counter/front of house teams
+ Partner with Tate’s Bake Shop business team on financials, reporting and measurement
+ Develop and implement sales strategies to reduce cost and increase revenue (e.g. minimizing waste, optimizing labor, upselling)
+ Partner with Tate’s finance team on monthly reporting and financials manage cash reconciliations, time sheets, payroll, and ensure inventory is entered accurately
+ Act as Tate’s Bake Shop brand ambassador locally in Southampton, NY, partnering with the Tate’s Bake Shop marketing team on local marketing, promotions, and events
What you will bring
A desire to drive Tate’s Future and purpose and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:
+ Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 7+ years food service, QSR, or retail experience, with at least 1-2 years of supervisory experience required, ideally with experience in The Hamptons community
+ Stand/walk for an 8-hour shift (excluding a ½ hour break); with ability to lift up to 25 pounds
+ Utilize basic computer skills (Email, Microsoft Office)
+ Knowledge of retail POS systems

The base salary range for this position is $117,400 to $161,425; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
