    Job Description

    The primary role of an Electrical / Electronic Engineer II is to design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. This position requires the ability to create engineering drawings and interpret blueprints.

    Responsibilities

    + Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.

    + Evaluate the cost-effectiveness, reliability, and safety of design models.

    + Estimate time and cost to complete projects.

    + Simulate and test machine, structure, or system operation.

    + Investigate and test products from vendors and competitors.

    Essential Skills

    + Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.

    + Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.

    + Proficiency in performing detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.

    + Application of electrical theory principles to engineering projects.

    + Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to the engineering field.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university/college with 3+ years of related experience.

    + 3+ years of product development experience required.

    + Experience with CREO is preferred.

    + General familiarity with automotive electrical designs.

    + Prior experience with 3D CAD software.

    + Experience with CAN communication network protocols.

    + Prior experience with PLM software for developing Bills of Materials (B.O.M).

    + Knowledge of electrical vehicle architecture, including relays, sensors, wiring harnesses, cables, and routing.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This position is onsite 5 days a week in a manufacturing environment.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of High Point, North Carolina.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.
