Actively seeking a surveyor willing to help provide site development, architecture and engineering, program management, and construction services across multiple states.
Job Description:
The Survey Technician will conduct national on-site building surveys, operate LiDAR scanners, and register point clouds to develop accurate 2D drawings and 3D models. This role also involves documenting key building systems—including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC—while ensuring all data is captured safely and efficiently. Back in the “office”, you will translate point cloud data into detailed AutoCAD deliverables, perform quality checks, and support continuous improvement in capture methodologies and project workflows.
+ Operating LIDAR scanning technology and reality capture survey tools (Leica scanner, etc.) to gather precise visual and dimensional data of as-built buildings
+ Registering laser scan point clouds and creating accurate existing condition drawings
+ Documenting key building systems, from electrical and mechanical to HVAC and plumbing
+ Preparing clear reports, photo documentation, and quality-checking drawings
+ Supporting field and office teams, helping identify the best methods to capture site data
+ Ensuring safety protocols are followed to protect yourself, the team, and client properties
+ This role requires 60-80% national travel, the ability to lift extension ladders, and completing administrative tasks like timesheets and expense reports
Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of building survey experience
+ Ability to travel nationally (60-80% of the week)
+ Experience operating LiDAR scanners, Leica technology, and registering point clouds
+ AutoCAD (must have); Revit (is a plus)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $34.00/hr.
