Job Title: Lead Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to oversee and lead a team of electrical and HVAC engineers. The primary focus of this role is to guide the team in creating and updating General, HVAC, and Electrical drawings for various project phases, including Issued for Approval, As-built, and Closeout Submittals. The Lead Mechanical Engineer will act as the project manager, representing the engineering team in meetings and calls, ensuring effective communication and project progress.
Responsibilities
+ Lead a team of electrical and HVAC engineers in the creation and updating of General, HVAC, and Electrical drawings for various project phases.
+ Serve as the project manager and the primary point of contact during engineering meetings and calls, effectively communicating team progress and addressing questions.
+ Develop standards for Integrated Manufacturing HVAC designs and controls for modular e-houses.
+ Conduct final reviews of drawings to ensure compliance with client specifications and relevant codes.
+ Ensure HVAC and Electrical designs comply with national and local codes, conducting heat load calculations and ensuring proper HVAC equipment sizing.
+ Create and verify CFD analysis to meet project heat load requirements.
+ Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD to assist in drawing updates as needed.
+ Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to select the best-engineered systems for each project.
+ Communicate and coordinate with the engineering team, keeping the Engineering Manager informed of design issues and resolutions.
+ Collaborate with the Electrical Engineering team to meet HVAC equipment requirements and spacing needs.
+ Answer inquiries from the production and operations team.
+ Innovate modular building HVAC designs and share ideas with the Engineering Manager.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in HVAC design and mechanical engineering.
+ Experience as a project manager or leading junior engineers.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
+ Strong understanding of mechanical design and construction principles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
+ Experience in project management, HVAC systems, and AutoCAD.
+ Creative thinking and problem-solving skills for innovative design solutions.
Work Environment
This position requires onsite work from Monday to Friday. The work environment involves collaboration with a dedicated team of engineers, utilizing advanced design software such as AutoCAD and Revit. The role entails active participation in meetings and communication with various stakeholders to ensure project success.
Job Type & Location
This is a position based out of Arlington, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $67.00/hr.
