    Job Title: Assistant Superintendent

    Job Description

    The Assistant Superintendent supports the Superintendent in managing daily field operations on construction sites. This includes coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring quality and schedule adherence.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist in supervising field crews and subcontractors.

    + Help maintain project schedules and coordinate daily activities.

    + Monitor site safety and enforce compliance with OSHA and company policies.

    + Conduct inspections and ensure work meets quality standards.

    + Maintain daily reports and logs.

    + Support material deliveries and inventory tracking.

    + Communicate with project managers and engineers to resolve issues.

    Essential Skills

    + 2–5 years of experience in construction or site supervision.

    + Strong understanding of construction methods and safety regulations.

    + Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

    + Good communication and organizational skills.

    + Familiarity with construction management software.

    + Procore

    + Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Management.

    + Experience in infrastructure, environmental, MEP projects, and concrete.

    Work Environment

    The position is on-site at the Yarmouth Project site, which is a 3-year project breaking ground in mid-November. The office is based out of Torrington, CT, but the employee will report directly to the project site and will not have to go to the office. Traffic can be challenging in the summer. The company is a family-owned firm with a long-standing history in the industry, known for its recession-proof project portfolio, specializing in heavy infrastructure, environmental, and MEP projects.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
