    Verdantas is seeking a Construction Technician in our Concord, CA location. The Construction Technician I plays a critical role in implementing and maintaining Best Management Practices (BMPs) for erosion control, stormwater management, and environmental compliance across diverse construction and recovery projects. This position requires hands-on fieldwork, equipment handling, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

    What You'll Do:

    + Install and maintain BMPs such as fiber rolls, gravel bags, jute netting, silt fencing, check dams, and storm drain protection systems

    + Conduct site services to minimize track-out, sediment transport, and soil movement

    + Support wildfire recovery and disaster response efforts through BMP deployment and maintenance

    + Perform daily field reports and photo documentation using mobile survey tools

    + Assist in hydroseeding, slope stabilization, and vegetation management.

    + Follow safety protocols and contribute to Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Wildfire Risk Assessments

    + Collaborate with field crews and project managers to ensure timely and compliant execution of BMP scopes

    What You'll Bring:

    + Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor in outdoor environments

    + Experience with barbed wire fencing, hydroseeding, and irrigation preferred

    + Valid driver’s license with clean record and reliable transportation from home to yard

    + Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to travel and work flexible hours

    + Prior experience in construction, environmental services, or stormwater compliance is a plus

    + Familiarity of walk behind trencher and various hand tools

    Salary Range:

    $20.00 - $25.00
