Job Title: Industrial Engineer

Job Description

This role involves managing the procurement process for various goods in alignment with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets. The industrial engineer will apply sourcing policies, liaise between suppliers and the organization, and ensure compliance with specifications and budgets.

Responsibilities

+ Manage the buying process for a set of goods in line with cost, quality, and delivery targets.

+ Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets.

+ Assess quotations from potential suppliers.

+ Prepare purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers and organizational requirements.

+ Research and evaluate existing and new suppliers.

+ Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues.

+ Gather supplier data, ensuring all necessary documentation is current and available.

+ Assess and evaluate suppliers and participate in performance reviews to ensure contract compliance, initiating performance improvement activities as required.

+ Responsible for material control and management, including chain of custody and appropriate documentation. Manage direct deliveries and drop shipments.

+ Manage problems and schedule changes, ensuring changes are reflected within ERP systems.

+ Ensure the continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.

+ Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ BA degree in an engineering-related field

+ 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management

+ Experience working with technical materials in the medical device or aerospace and defense sectors

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $45.67/hr.
