We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to lead the design of power distribution systems for a variety of facility types, including medical, utility, industrial, and commercial. The role involves performing comprehensive electrical studies, preparing detailed engineering documents, and overseeing the sizing and selection of electrical equipment. You will provide construction observation and field support during startup and commissioning, review shop drawings, and interface with suppliers, clients, and cross-disciplinary teams. Additionally, you will support business development initiatives through proposal writing and client engagement, mentor junior staff, and contribute to cross-functional technical support.
Responsibilities
+ Lead the design of power distribution systems for various facility types.
+ Perform electrical studies such as load flow, short circuit, arc flash, harmonics, and coordination.
+ Prepare detailed engineering documents, equipment specifications, and data sheets.
+ Oversee sizing and selection of electrical equipment.
+ Provide construction observation, inspection, and field support during startup and commissioning.
+ Review shop drawings and submittals.
+ Interface with suppliers, clients, and cross-disciplinary teams.
+ Support business development through proposal writing and client engagement.
+ Approve final electrical selections and drawing submittals.
+ Mentor junior staff and provide cross-functional technical support.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering with expertise in electrical power system design.
+ Strong background in designing systems for utility and infrastructure projects.
+ Extensive experience with Revit for building and site electrical systems.
+ In-depth knowledge of relevant codes: NEC, NFPA, IBC, Life Safety Code.
+ Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Minnesota.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Licensure in additional states is a plus.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
