Job Title: Quality Control TechnicianJob Description
As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming raw materials related to disposables, testing in-process products, and documenting non-conformances. You will be expected to understand and comply with the Quality System Regulations (QSR), ISO standards, and company guidelines.
Responsibilities
+ Review processes to ensure procedural compliance and recommend improvements.
+ Perform and review visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming raw materials for disposables and electronics, identifying key inspection points and using appropriate tools.
+ Conduct inspections and verification of finished products.
+ Review inspection data and Device History Records (DHRs), including sterilization records, for accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
+ Inspect and process returned goods/materials (RGAs/RMAs).
+ Utilize recognized sampling plans to determine the statistical size of samples.
+ Conduct and review tests according to various Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) protocol requirements.
+ Document and review inspection results in accordance with GMP/Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
+ Generate non-conforming material reports (NCMR) for products that fail to meet test specifications and notify appropriate personnel.
+ Communicate departmental and company needs to management.
+ Assist engineering staff with process improvement projects related to product and component quality inspection, such as First Article Inspections and qualification testing.
+ Capable of working in all Quality Assurance areas (Incoming Quality Control, Finals, and Electronics) as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 5 years of quality control experience.
+ Proficiency in dimensional inspection using calipers, micrometers, snap gages, torque gauges, vision systems including optical comparators, OGP Smart systems, and other inspection and measurement tools.
+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, and procedures.
+ Experience with medical devices is desired.
+ Experience with In-Process Inspection and Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMR's).
+ Familiarity with DHR (A to Z process on work orders) and documentation using JD Edwards or ERP systems.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills in quality control.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
+ Basic computer skills, including knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access.
+ Good written and oral communication skills in English.
+ Interpersonal skills for effective teamwork across departments.
+ Detail-oriented and adaptable to changing environments.
+ Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
+ Experience with pneumatics, mechanical, and electrical testing.
Work Environment
Work hours are from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with the possibility of overtime on Fridays. The role involves working with medical devices and in a cleanroom environment. The dress code is professional, and the work setting requires adherence to strict cleanliness and safety standards.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Allen, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $21.00/hr.
