    Job Description

    Join a team of skilled software engineers developing cutting-edge systems, ranging from energy weapons to AI-powered sensors and drone swarm defense. As a Software Engineer, you will create reliable and real-time optimized User Interfaces (UIs) for sophisticated systems.     Responsibilities

    + Implement and develop all aspects of web-based UIs.

    + Provide insights into architectural decision-making, including framework trade-offs and error-handling strategies.

    + Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into functional interfaces.

    + Work with backend teams to improve API designs.

    + Integrate novel front-end technologies into the existing stack.

    + Take ownership of significant new features, including planning and technical documentation.

    + Optimize performance, developer experience, CI/CD, and testing.

    + Ensure codebase readability and clean coding patterns.

    + Mentor and collaborate with team members.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of professional front-end/UI development experience.

    + Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.

    + Mastery in building UI applications with React.

    + Competence in front-end build tools, bundling, and transpilation.

    + Experience with testing frameworks for unit, integration, and e2e testing.

    + Proficiency in CSS, SASS, and frameworks like Bootstrap, Tailwind, Material-UI.

    + Experience optimizing performance for real-time React applications.

    + Experience with Agile/Scrum development.

    + Experience working with a design/development pipeline.

    + At least 1+ years experience with web-based 3D rendering, data visualization, or mapping libraries.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with wireframing/design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.

    + Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

    Work Environment

    The work schedule is hybrid, requiring 3-4 days on-site. You will participate in a mix of sprint planning and integrating ad-hoc tasks as they arise. Junior engineers focus on tickets, while senior engineers engage more in architectural tasks. The environment promotes growth and development within a high-growth technology company dedicated to national security challenges.

    This is a Contract position based out of Torrance, California

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $78.00 - $90.00/hr.
