Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in programming integrated systems, creating HMI programs, and ideally producing wiring diagrams to outsource to a control panel building shop. This role focuses primarily on programming, though some electrical design or CAD for wiring diagrams would be advantageous. You will be provided with sequences, I/O charts, electrical BOMs, and templates from previous systems to assist with your tasks.
Responsibilities
+ Program integrated systems and create HMI programs.
+ Produce wiring diagrams for outsourcing to control panel building shops.
+ Perform PLC programming, with proficiency required in Allen-Bradley PLCs.
+ Engage in electrical design and schematic creation using AutoCAD as needed.
+ Develop control system designs and troubleshoot PLCs.
+ Utilize existing templates and skeletons for programming sequences.
+ Contribute to the final phase of system testing scheduled for early December.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in PLC programming, specifically with Allen-Bradley PLCs.
+ Experience with HMI programming and control system design.
+ Competence in electrical engineering and troubleshooting.
+ Knowledge of automation and ladder logic.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with AutoCAD for electrical design and schematic creation.
+ Experience with SCADA and FactoryTalk.
+ Ability to quickly assemble electrical diagrams using CAD software.
Work Environment
This position offers remote work flexibility, with onsite presence required as needed. The work involves critical projects with a quick impact, and if the engagement extends beyond two months, you will receive paid time off and holidays.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Sherwood, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
