REMOTE Estimator position For US Virgin Island Schools!
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to analyze civil and architectural blueprints, specifications, and project documentation. The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and time, and conducting quantity take-offs and site visits to gather essential data. The Estimator will consult with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to refine estimates, use estimating software to model costs and generate reports, track actual costs, and adjust estimates as project scope evolves. Additionally, evaluating cost-effectiveness and risk factors of proposed designs and maintaining a database of suppliers, contractors, and historical cost data are crucial aspects of this role.
Responsibilities
+ Analyze civil and architectural blueprints, specifications, and project documentation.
+ Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and time.
+ Conduct quantity take-offs and site visits to gather data.
+ Consult with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to refine estimates.
+ Use estimating software to model costs and generate reports.
+ Track actual costs and adjust estimates as project scope evolves.
+ Evaluate cost-effectiveness and risk factors of proposed designs.
+ Maintain a database of suppliers, contractors, and historical cost data.
+ Assist in bid preparation and contract negotiations.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of estimating experience.
+ Bachelor's degree in construction or engineering.
+ Proficient in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
+ Experience with Architectural/Structural/Civil projects.
+ Must be able to work with cross-functional teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience within estimating schools in the Caribbean.
+ Ground up experience in project management and construction management.
+ Experience in commercial construction and using Revit.
+ Prefer Caribbean and ground up school experience.
Work Environment
This is a remote position supporting the Cost Management division.
You will be working for a high-end construction consulting office, which is the largest Cost Management firm in NYC.
The environment is very professional, and you will have the opportunity to work on elaborate and large-scale projects.
Consultants will primarily work on ground-up construction school projects in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

This is a Contract position based out of New York, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
