    Job Description

    We are seeking a self-motivated and energetic Construction Project Supervisor/Inspector to join our team in Southeast Indiana. The successful candidate will provide construction inspection experience for LPA and INDOT projects and step into a project management position.     Responsibilities

    + Familiarize with company, client, government, and industry standards.

    + Observe and monitor construction for compliance with contract documents and approved shop drawings/material submittals.

    + Record field observations and determine the acceptability of construction work performed.

    + Monitor contractor’s quality control and verify construction conforms to the quality control plan.

    + Make field measurements, computations, and records of acceptable work.

    + Prepare reports outlining work performed and the quality of completed work acceptable for payment.

    + Calculate the quantity of acceptable completed work for payment.

    + Review and verify contractor’s payment applications, proposals, and change order requests.

    + Coordinate construction activities with the owner and assist the Project Manager with client-related construction issues.

    + Prepare and maintain project records in accordance with company, client, and government standards.

    + Coordinate or conduct quality assurance testing, inspections, and surveys.

    + Perform other related duties as necessary.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of INDOT inspection experience working as a Project Supervisor.

    + Ability to manage a job from start to finish, including paperwork and oversight of inspectors.

    + INDOT Certified or a Civil Engineering degree.

    + Site Manager certification.

    + Experienced construction inspector with management responsibility.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + No need for training or supervision.

    + Familiarity with field notes, as-built drawings, civil engineering construction, and roadway construction.

    + Current knowledge of materials testing methods.

    + Ability and willingness to work in inclement weather.

    Work Environment

    The construction project supervisor will work outside in various weather conditions, either from their truck or a field office trailer. This is a hands-off inspection position requiring visual inspection only. The company provides a supportive environment with a long-term work backlog extending through 2026 and into 2027.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $89440.00/yr.
