    Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer – Structures DepartmentJob Description

     

    As a Manufacturing Engineer in the Structures Department, you will support the development and full-rate production of the world’s largest liquid-fueled, all-composite rocket. You will design and develop tooling, fixtures, and production equipment specifically for aerospace composite components, selecting materials and manufacturing processes that align with aerospace standards. Your role will involve optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost while owning hardware development and production timelines.

    Responsibilities

    + Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and production equipment for aerospace composite components.

    + Select materials and manufacturing processes aligned with aerospace standards.

    + Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost.

    + Own hardware development and production timelines.

    + Implement innovative tooling and fixturing solutions.

    + Serve as the subject matter expert for part fabrication and hardware intricacies.

    + Support production teams and drive floor-level improvements.

    + Create standardized work instructions and procedures.

    + Resolve nonconformance issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

    + Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams for seamless integration.

    + Manage manufacturing programs to meet quality, cost, and schedule goals.

    + Identify and solve production challenges to ensure timely delivery.

    + Maintain rigorous quality control aligned with industry standards.

    + Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising product integrity.

    + Promote continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma principles.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in manufacturing engineering.

    + Proficiency with composite materials and manufacturing processes.

    + Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in aerospace, automotive, maritime, or aviation industries preferred.

    + Composites experience required for Level 3 positions.

    + Experience with Lean and Six Sigma principles.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bertram, Texas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $69.00/hr.
