Job Title: Lab Operation Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Operation Engineer to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to coordinate logistics and project management, ensuring that engineers can prioritize high-impact tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in semiconductor operations, with a keen eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

+ Track daily operations in the demo lab and manage the flow of materials through various process steps.

+ Manage priorities with input from multiple stakeholders, connecting top-level goals to daily activities.

+ Coordinate analyses with systems and metrology teams, ensuring timely publishing of data.

+ Oversee and manage stock of process materials (wafers, chemicals) and maintain lab equipment.

+ Develop and maintain technical documentation; recommend changes in procedures as needed.

+ Perform wafer processing tasks, including resist coating and development, as required.

+ Inspect patterned wafers and coordinate metrology activities with partners as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Previous experience in an operations or logistics role, with familiarity in semiconductor processes.

+ Understanding of cleanroom requirements, wet chemical handling, and wafer processing.

+ Experience maintaining and troubleshooting lab hardware, or installing new equipment.

+ Comfortable working with new equipment and adapting to procedures that are not well-established.

+ Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Hands-on experience with optical and/or electron microscopes (SEM, TEM, FIB, etc.) is a plus.

+ Experience operating semiconductor process tools, especially lithography, is an advantage.

+ Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a semiconductor-related field plus 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent.

Work Environment

The role is based onsite and involves working in a dynamic laboratory setting. The candidate will be expected to handle lab equipment and materials, adhering to cleanroom standards. Familiarity with lab safety protocols and the ability to adapt to evolving procedures is essential.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Santa Clara, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
