We are seeking a 2nd shift Engineering Technician to oversee the maintenance and repair of our automation and production equipment. The role requires effective leadership to ensure optimal and safe equipment functionality, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with the engineering team to support implementation and design testing for optimal facility operations.
+ Evaluate and troubleshoot production equipment, including conveyor systems and automated packaging machinery.
+ Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems.
+ Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, and food safety regulations.
+ Oversee inventory management using Kanban and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
+ Provide rapid support for equipment breakdowns during active production hours.
+ Uphold clean room standards and strictly follow food safety procedures.
+ Lead and guide engineering technicians and manufacturing engineers in skill development and process implementation.
Essential Skills
+ Associate's Degree within an Engineering discipline.
+ 2+ years of experience working with CAD software for redesigning industrial equipment.
+ 2+ years of experience in design testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of production and automation equipment.
+ Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across multiple departments.
+ Mechanical engineering and electronics knowledge.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Manufacturing experience within the food and beverage industry.
+ Supervision/management experience within manufacturing.
Work Environment
The work environment includes 65 to 70 employees on-site, operating during the 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM EST. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brownsburg, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.
