    We are seeking skilled Civil Engineers, Designers, and Project Managers to join our dynamic team. The role requires working closely with the Land Development VP or the Detroit Market Lead, depending on experience and location. Our offices are located in the metro Detroit area, as well as Lansing and Grand Rapids, offering flexibility in work location. We offer a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office and two days remote each week.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform design work, engineering calculations, and prepare reports.

    + Conduct site visits and support permit applications.

    + Provide construction assistance and evaluate land use and zoning requirements.

    + Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D daily for design work.

    + Support projects in the private sector, K-12 education, municipal, or urban planning, based on experience.

    + Focus on site/land development, including grading, drainage, sanitary/sewer, and utilities work for the Rochester Hills team.

    + Contribute to mixed-use urban infill, sustainable design, and stormwater best management practices for the Detroit team.

    + Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, fostering team collaboration.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

    + Possession of EIT, PE, or ability to obtain one within six months.

    + Over four years of experience in civil site development design.

    + Proficiency in Civil 3D design.

    + Experience in designing grading, drainage, utilities, and sanitary/sewer systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + EIT or PE certification.

    + Experience in urban planning and design.

    + K-12 site design experience.

    + Project management experience.

    Work Environment

    Work in a collaborative and team-focused environment, with offices in Rochester Hills, Detroit, and Novi. The work schedule includes three days in the office and two days remote, with expected hours of 40-50 per week, Monday through Friday. Employees are compensated for any additional hours worked.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester Hills, Michigan.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr.
