Job Title: Clinical Cardiac Sonographer
The Registered Cardiac Sonographer is a credentialed healthcare professional responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac echocardiograms. These studies provide interpreting physicians with clinically relevant information to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. All procedures are conducted in accordance with facility protocols and professional standards.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain exam room and equipment per safety and infection control protocols.
+ Review patient history and prior imaging to determine the clinical focus of the exam.
+ Confirm patient readiness and consent for the procedure.
+ Educate patients and families about the procedure, using appropriate communication techniques.
+ Verify patient identity using two forms of identification.
+ Position patients for optimal imaging and ensure ergonomic safety for both patient and sonographer.
+ Perform echocardiograms (M-mode, 2D, Doppler) and stress echocardiograms per lab protocols.
+ Use professional judgment to adapt procedures for comprehensive cardiac assessment.
+ Collaborate with physicians regarding the use of ultrasound contrast agents when indicated.
+ Document findings, measurements, and pathology accurately in the patient record.
+ Communicate urgent findings to interpreting physicians prior to patient discharge.
+ Participate in emergency preparedness drills and initiate BLS when necessary.
+ Maintain patient confidentiality and report any HIPAA concerns appropriately.
+ Stay current with professional standards and operate within the sonographer’s scope of practice.
+ Foster collaborative relationships with all members of the healthcare team.
+ Travel may be required to support other imaging locations.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent formal training.
+ Prior experience in cardiac sonography.
+ Current ARDMS or CCI registry (RDCS or RCS).
+ BCLS certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ RVT certification.
+ ACLS certification.
Work Environment
This position is based in a state-of-the-art facility located in Dublin. The standard shift is Monday through Friday, from 7:30am to 4:00pm. The role offers a collaborative work environment with an organization and manager who are committed to supporting their team members.
$10,000 sign-on bonus is available for this position.

This is a Permanent position based out of Dublin, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $76000.00 - $114000.00/yr.
