    Job Title: Field Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Field Engineer to join our team, contributing to the construction and modernization of electrical infrastructure projects across the United States. Our substation group plays a pivotal role in ensuring grid reliability and developing future-ready infrastructure. As a Field Engineer, you will support project execution by planning, organizing, and implementing core project management principles, working closely with project teams and managers.

    Responsibilities

    + Support project execution by planning, organizing, and implementing project management principles.

    + Monitor and achieve project scope, schedule, and budgets.

    + Gain firsthand experience in substation-specific work scopes.

    + Engage in fast-paced material management, working with vendors and tracking materials.

    + Anticipate needs, solve problems, and actively contribute to safe, successful project outcomes.

    Essential Skills

    + Proactive, detail-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.

    + Ability to adapt in a fast-paced field environment.

    + Experience in construction management and project management.

    + 1+ years of field engineering or associate project management experience.

    + Experience with industrial construction, wind, solar, renewables, BESS, data center, substation, transmission, and distribution projects.

    + Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Construction degree plus internship or equivalent experience.

    + Familiarity with job cost tracking and estimating software.

    + Experience in a GC or EPC environment is highly preferred.

    + Strong organizational and time management skills.

    + Ability to travel and commit to long-term onsite project assignments.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Work Environment

    The role requires working onsite at new substation builds, often tied to data centers. You will be part of a team with a strong hands-on training program and a family-like atmosphere. Expect to travel and commit to long-term project assignments. Benefits include a vehicle allowance or company-provided vehicle, cell phone and equipment allowances, and eligibility for bonuses and 401k matching. The position offers an opportunity to progress into a Project Manager role over time.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
