Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team in overseeing and facilitating all aspects of project execution and completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction or project engineering and will be responsible for coordinating various project activities, maintaining communication with stakeholders, and supporting project managers and engineers.
Responsibilities
+ Schedule, coordinate, and review shop drawing submittals.
+ Maintain transmittal logs and distribute updates at job meetings.
+ Assist in developing and updating CPM project schedules.
+ Conduct site visits to verify progress and coordinate with superintendents.
+ Submit and log RFIs, distribute responses for review at meetings.
+ Identify changes during submittals and correspondence.
+ Help develop cost proposals and coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors.
+ Maintain communication with owners, architects, and engineers.
+ Attend and actively participate in project meetings.
+ Price and expedite materials and equipment.
+ Bid on major site excavation work.
+ Support project managers and engineers in all aspects of project administration and completion.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering.
+ 2+ years of experience in construction or project engineering.
+ Proficiency in construction management software.
+ Strong understanding of construction methods, costs, and industry standards.
+ Experience with infrastructure, MEP, and environmental projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with commercial construction, environmental construction, infrastructure, wastewater treatment facilities, and mechanical projects.
+ Experience in project coordination and construction management.
+ Familiarity with software like Procore, Bluebeam, and P6 is a plus.
+ Internships in related fields if lacking direct experience.
Work Environment
The position is based on-site at the Yarmouth Project, which is a 3-year project set to break ground in mid-November. Traffic can be challenging during the summer months. The office is located in Torrington, CT, but the employee will report directly to the project site and will not be required to visit the office. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
