Description
Key Responsibilities Product & Component Testing • Perform incoming test and inspection using gauges, meters, and test fixtures. • Execute functional, environmental, and reliability tests per SOPs and standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO, IPC) and record results. • Develop, build and maintain test setups and fixtures. Documentation & Traceability • Develop, write, and maintain accurate test plans, test records, and electronic logs. • Create/revise inspection instructions, checklists, and visual standards. • Ensure lot traceability and conformity per control plans. Nonconformance & 8D • Identify defects; quarantine nonconforming material; lead 8D creation. • Support root-cause analysis (5-Why, Ishikawa) and implement corrective/preventive actions. • Verify effectiveness of 8Ds and close on time. Data & Continuous Improvement • Analyze test data; chart yields, defects, yield, and trend defects. • Recommend improvements using Lean/6σ tools; run small kaizens. • Supplier & Cross-Functional Support • Provide feedback to suppliers; assist with supplier SCARs. • Partner with Engineering on design validations and with Operations on line readiness. Education & Experience • Associate degree or certification in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field. • 2–5 years of relevant experience in electronic testing, repair, or manufacturing support (engineering environment preferred). Required Skills & Knowledge • 2+ years in a quality, test, or manufacturing technician role. • Proficient with hand metrology tools and basic electrical/functional test equipment. • Strong documentation discipline; comfortable with ERP/MES and Excel/Google Sheets. • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar QMS and basic statistical concepts (Cp/Cpk, control charts). • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications; understanding of tolerances (GD&T a plus). Desired Skills & Knowledge • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, quality, or related field. • Experience with PPAP/FAI, PFMEA, control plans, and incoming supplier quality. • Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement training. • Basic scripting/automation for data collection (e.g., Python, VBA) is a plus. • Understanding of tolerances (GD&T a plus). • Understanding of radio frequency theory and operation • ASQ certification (CQE, CQT, or similar) or equivalent experience. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
