    Job Title: Lab Technician

     

    Schedule: Saturday–Wednesday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM

     

    Start Date: ASAP

    As a Lab Technician, you’ll play a vital role in supporting incubation operations that directly impact poultry health and production. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who thrives in a clean, controlled environment and enjoys working with biological materials and data.

    What You’ll Do

    + Set and prepare eggs based on customer and management specifications.

    + Maintain accurate records including order sheets, incubation tags, and environmental data.

    + Monitor and adjust temperature and humidity levels to ensure optimal incubation conditions.

    + Candle and pack eggs to meet customer expectations.

    + Select eggs for breeder stock and flock replacement.

    + Clean and fumigate incubators and equipment to maintain biosecurity standards.

    + Perform environmental sampling and complete associated documentation.

    + Input incubation data into spreadsheets and ensure timely reporting.

    What You Bring

    + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

    + Experience in laboratory or cleanroom environments.

    + Familiarity with aseptic and sterile techniques.

    + High school diploma or GED preferred.

    + 2+ years of experience in a processing or poultry farm environment (or equivalent).

    Physical Requirements

    + Ability to lift and move flats of eggs (up to 30 lbs) and cases of eggs (up to 60 lbs).

    + Comfortable working in a standing position and accessing incubation equipment.

    + Basic computer skills for data entry and communication.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
