    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator who is proficient in operating various machinery and equipment to ensure efficient production. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read and interpret measurements accurately and maintain high-quality standards while achieving production quotas.

    Responsibilities

    + Read tape measures using 1/16" and 1/32" increments.

    + Operate Punch, Farming, and CNC machines with precision.

    + Assemble parts and manage the loading and offloading of paint line parts.

    + Utilize small power tools such as drills, electric screwdrivers, and staple guns for assembly tasks.

    + Assist with cleaning, mopping, and organizing the work area.

    + Transport small parts using wheeled carts.

    + Perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

    + Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ years of machine operator experience.

    + 1+ years of experience in machine setup.

    + Proficiency in reading a tape measure.

    + Experience in inspection and quality control.

    + Familiarity with punch press and sheet metal operations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED, or 3 months of related experience and/or training.

    Work Environment

     

    The position requires working the first shift from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime based on the season. Weekend work will not exceed 11:00 AM. The work environment emphasizes safety and collaboration, with a focus on quality production.

    This is a Contract position based out of Altamont, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.31 - $18.00/hr.
