Job Title:** **Grill Cook

Position Summary:

The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing hot food items to order in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital café. This role requires strong cooking skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety and customer satisfaction. The Grill Cook works closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and high-quality meal service for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare grilled and hot food items according to standardized recipes and customer orders.

+ Operate and maintain grill, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

+ Ensure proper portion control, food presentation, and adherence to dietary restrictions.

+ Maintain a clean and organized cooking station, following all sanitation and safety guidelines.

+ Monitor food temperatures and storage procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.

+ Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and rotating food items.

+ Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

+ Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills:

+ **1.5+ years of experience** in the food service industry, preferably in a grill or line cook role.

+ **1.5+ years of job tenure** at previous employers.

+ Ability to **lift up to 50 lbs** and **push up to 100 lbs** .

+ Strong **customer service orientation** and ability to work under pressure.

+ Proven experience in **food preparation, cooking, and kitchen sanitation** .

Schedule & Compensation:

+ Full-time shifts available, including weekends and holidays.

+ Competitive hourly wage based on experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.75 - $18.50/hr.
